How the Leaderboard Works?
Discover who gets featured on the Codolio Leaderboard, explore the various leaderboard categories, and learn how your C-Score is calculated to reflect your true coding journey.
Score Components
Who Are Eligible for the Leaderboard?
To keep Codolio's leaderboard fair, trustworthy, and spam-free, only users with verified profiles are ranked.
Verification ensures that:
- The coding data actually belongs to you
- Your score reflects real, consistent effort
- Everyone on the leaderboard is part of a genuine, accountable community
If you haven't verified yet, you can do it in just a few clicks from your profile settings.
Types of Leaderboards
We have four main types of leaderboards based on different categories. Each category helps highlight different aspects of coding performance:
Leaderboard Type | Description | Variants |
---|---|---|
C-Score Leaderboard | Ranks coders based on their overall C Score | Global, College, Country |
Total Questions Leaderboard | Ranks coders based on the total number of coding questions they have solved | Global, College, Country |
LeetCode Rating Leaderboard | Ranks coders according to their LeetCode rating | Global, College, Country |
Codeforces Rating Leaderboard | Ranks coders based on their Codeforces rating | Global, College, Country |
What is the C-Score?
The C-Score is Codolio's unique metric (out of 900) that reflects how balanced and credible your overall coding profile is.
The score ranges from 500 (base) to 900, and grows with your consistency, progress, and all-round developer journey — not just expertise in one area.
Factors Contributing to C-Score
Your score is built from four core areas. Each area has certain activities that contribute more to your score than others. Let's break it down:
DSA Practice
This shows how actively and deeply you've practiced data structures and algorithms.
High Impact
- Total number of problems solved across platforms
- Hard-level questions solved (shows depth of knowledge)
Medium Impact
- Medium-level questions solved
Low Impact
- Easy questions solved (important for practice, but low weight in score)
Development (GitHub Activity)
This reflects how engaged you are in building, contributing, and maintaining code.
High Impact
- Number of commits (regular development activity)
- Pull Requests (PRs) made (shows collaboration and contribution)
Medium Impact
- Stars received on repositories (indicates community interest)
Low Impact
- Number of languages used (shows diversity, but lesser weight)
Competitive Programming
This section looks at your performance in coding contests and practice.
High Impact
- Your contest rating (higher ratings on platforms matter more)
- Number of contests you've participated in regularly
Low Impact
- Number of practice problems solved (helps, but less than ratings)
Consistency & Community Engagement
This section values regular activity across various coding platforms and your presence in the Codolio community.
High Impact
- Total active days (in DSA or development)
Medium Impact
- Longest daily coding streak
Very Low Impact
- Profile views and engagement on Codolio (helps, but lightly scored)
