How to Connect & Verify Your Coding Platforms

One of Codolio’s most powerful features is the Profile Tracker. It acts as a unified portfolio, pulling together your performance from major coding platforms into a single, professional dashboard.

Whether you are preparing for placements or building developer credibility, a connected and verified profile serves as your single source of truth.

Why Connect Your Platforms?

When you link your accounts, Codolio automatically syncs:

  • DSA Stats: Problem counts from LeetCode, GFG, etc.
  • CP Ratings: Contest history from Codeforces, CodeChef, etc.
  • Dev Activity: GitHub repositories and contributions.

Why Verification Matters

Connecting a platform pulls the data, but Verification proves that the account actually belongs to you.

  • Unlock Codolio Card: Get your personalized developer card.
  • Get Ranked: Only verified profiles appear on the Global Leaderboards.
  • Get a C-Score: Receive a score that measures your balance across DSA, CP, and Development.
  • Recruiter Trust: Recruiters can only shortlist authentic, verified candidates.

General Instructions

To start connecting your accounts:

  1. Go to your Profile page.
  2. Click Edit Profile.
  3. Navigate to the Platform tab.
  4. Enter your Public Username or Profile URL for the respective platform.
  5. Click Submit.

Once submitted, follow the specific verification steps below for each platform.

Platform-Specific Verification Guide

You will be given a unique code (represented here as {{VERIFICATION_CODE}}) to paste into specific fields on your external profiles.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: You do not need to keep the code forever! Once your profile shows as “Verified” on Codolio, you can change your Name, Bio, or Summary back to normal immediately. The verification code is only required for the moment of validation. It does not need to stay on your public profile permanently.

1. GitHub (Development Stats)

GitHub uses SSO (Single Sign-On), making it the easiest to connect.

  • How to Connect: Under the Development section, click Connect GitHub.
  • Action: A popup will ask for permission to read public activity. Click Authorize.
  • Verification: Automatic. No manual code is needed.

2. LeetCode

  • Field to Edit: Summary
  • Steps:
    1. Go to your LeetCode profile settings.
    2. Edit the Summary section.
    3. Paste your code: {{VERIFICATION_CODE}}.
    4. Save changes and click Verify on Codolio. (You can revert the summary text after verification is complete.)

3. GeeksforGeeks (GFG)

  • Field to Edit: Display Name
  • Steps:
    1. Go to GFG Edit Profile > Personal Details.
    2. Edit your Display Name.
    3. Paste your code: {{VERIFICATION_CODE}}.
    4. Save changes and click Verify on Codolio.

4. Codeforces

  • Field to Edit: First Name
  • Steps:
    1. Go to Codeforces Social Settings.
    2. Edit your First Name (English).
    3. Paste your code: {{VERIFICATION_CODE}}.
    4. Save changes and click Verify on Codolio.

5. CodeChef

  • Field to Edit: Name
  • Steps:
    1. Go to CodeChef Edit Profile.
    2. Edit your Name.
    3. Paste your code: {{VERIFICATION_CODE}}.
    4. Save changes and click Verify on Codolio.

6. HackerRank

  • Field to Edit: First Name
  • Steps:
    1. Go to HackerRank profile settings.
    2. Edit your First Name.
    3. Paste your code: {{VERIFICATION_CODE}}.
    4. Save changes and click Verify on Codolio.

7. CodeStudio (Naukri)

  • Field to Edit: Name
  • Steps:
    1. Go to Naukri/CodeStudio profile settings.
    2. Edit your Name.
    3. Paste your code: {{VERIFICATION_CODE}}.
    4. Save changes and click Verify on Codolio.

8. AtCoder

  • Field to Edit: Affiliation
  • Steps:
    1. Go to AtCoder settings.
    2. Edit the Affiliation field.
    3. Paste your code: {{VERIFICATION_CODE}}.
    4. Save changes and click Verify on Codolio.

9. InterviewBit

  • Field to Edit: Bio

  • Steps:

    1. Go to InterviewBit settings.
    2. Edit the Bio section.
    3. Paste your code: {{VERIFICATION_CODE}}.
    4. Save changes.

    Important: InterviewBit often auto-switches profiles to “Private” after editing. Ensure you toggle your profile back to “Public” before clicking Verify on Codolio.

What Happens Next?

Once your platforms are verified:

  1. Syncing Begins: Your stats will update automatically whenever you view your profile.
  2. C-Score Generation: The system will calculate your holistic score.
  3. Leaderboard Entry: You will begin ranking against other developers globally.
